Mike Hastings’ love of aviation was solidified early on in his childhood through the many hours he spent flying with his dad, and hanging around the local airport. He dreamt of becoming a pilot, and one day flying WWII era aircraft. As a result of his dream, Mike became passionate about WWII history, and the incredibly important role it played, and continues to play, in the legacy of our great nation. As an adult, he is privileged to be able to live his dreams as a pilot involved in a variety of programs that seek to preserve and present WWII aircraft to the public.

“I am appreciative of the training and efforts of the demonstration team. From the dynamic formations, to the pyrotechnics, and the challenge of having so many aircraft maneuvering in the field, it is some of the most exciting and enjoyable flying that I’ve ever had the chance to be a part of. I hope that our show continues to keep the history of Pearl Harbor alive as it slowly fades from being taught in our schools and from the memories of our older generations.”
